I LIKE SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS (of course, I mean the good ones)

     We have a special announcement for you about one of our students.

     If you come to Walking N the Word or Women’s Fellowship on Wednesday evening or Prayer Meeting on Wednesday evening or Men’s Fellowship on Thursday evenings then you will be sitting in the new classroom chairs we will soon be using at our new church campus.

     Olga Mitchell sends her greetings to you. She is not home yet but she would enjoy a visit from you (the family is encouraging visits at this time). She is at Mirada Hills Rehab & Convalescent Hospital. The address is 12200 LaMirada Blvd., Room 36A in LaMirada  90638. The phone number at the facility is (562) 947-8691.

     I don’t recommend that you sign up for too many newsletters but I’ve got a really good one for you to consider. It is called PRAY NOW and is an email you would receive once a day asking you to pray for someone or about some related to world missions. Go to http://www.gbim.org/pray-news to sign up.

      Services for Glenda Shepard will be held this Tuesday at Rose Hills at 11AM (she sat in the third row with her daughter, Judy, just a few weeks ago…the gal with the big smile).

      SERMONRECAP-Was my message on February 13 about Daniel or was it about Moses or was it about Hosea?

      And remember that our church offices will be closed tomorrow in observance of President’s day.

      These days I am team-teaching with Sal Becerra in the book of Genesis (Sunday mornings at 9:30 in the Esperanza Fellowship). I am also teaching from the book of 2 Chronicles at Walking N the Word. Join me at either or both of these times.

      March birthdays and anniversaries are just around the corner. Let me know if you would like to help host a MARCH BIRTHDAY BASH.

An elementary boy was coming down the alley on his scooter by our new church home recently. One of you was standing in the parking lot so the boy came alongside and asked what we were making in the building. This was your answer. He was quite intrigued by the answer and had a positive interest in this former furniture store that had been unused for years. Perhaps you will get to meet him one day. Encounters like these are happening all around our city as you share the journey of us believers that call ourselves CGBC.
